Premier League fixtures between these two sides have produced very few goals and our tipster is backing more of the same when they meet on Saturday

Brighton are looking for their second away win of the Premier League season when they travel to Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

Graham Potter’s men beat Watford at Vicarage Road on the opening weekend of the campaign and have not lost against the Magpies in any of the last four meetings between the sides.

Newcastle are struggling too, and sit in the relegation zone after picking up just four points from their opening five games.

Newcastle vs Brighton Latest Odds

Despite that recent record, bet365 make Brighton 21/10 (3.10) outsiders to win at St. James’ Park for the second season in a row.

The hosts are 7/5 (2.40) favourites to claim their second win of the season and first in front of their own fans since April. The draw is priced at 11/5 (3.20).

Newcastle vs Brighton Team News

Fabian Schar limped off in Newcastle’s 3-1 defeat at Liverpool and is a doubt, whilst Andy Carroll and Sean Longstaff could both feature. Allan Saint-Maximin, DeAndre Yedlin, Matt Richie, Florian Lejeune and Dwight Gayle are all out.

Ezequiel Schelotto and Yves Bissouma are yet to feature for Brighton this season but are in contention on Saturday. Leandro Trossard is out.

Newcastle vs Brighton Preview

Since these two sides were promoted to the Premier League in 2017, their four meetings have featured just a combined four goals and four clean sheets.

That trend is likely to continue this time around. Last season, no teams that did not get relegated scored fewer goals than Newcastle and Brighton.

The Magpies have only scored four times this season, with the Seagulls managing just one more than that – although three of those five came in their 3-0 win at struggling Watford.

Newcastle vs Brighton Tips and Predictions

Under 2.5 goals, which has landed in all four Premier League games between these sides, is just 8/13 (1.62) with bet365 but opposing ‘Both Teams to Score’ at 4/5 (1.80) looks a shrewder play.

This selection would have paid dividends in five of Brighton’s last six away games and in three of the last four occasions that these teams have played each other.
