New Zealand Women vs Netherlands Women Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Euro 2017 winners Netherlands will look to replicate their continental success at this summer's World Cup.

Four years ago the Dutch were knocked out in the last 16, but they are 12/1 (13.0) with William Hill to be crowned champions in France.

Latest Odds

New Zealand are 9/1 (10.0) to kick-start their campaign with a victory in Le Havre. The bookmakers certainly believe they'll have their work cut out to take anything from a clash against a side who come into this competition in fine form.

The Orange Lionesses won their three warm-up friendlies by a combined 12-0 score line and they are 1/4 (1.25) to keep that winning run going. The draw sits at 4/1 (5.0) with William Hill.

Team News

Sarah Gregorius has 34 goals for the Football Ferns, including the winner against England in a recent friendly. The 31-year-old Miramar Rangers forward is 10/3 (4.33) to make her mark on this game.

WSL holders Arsenal are well represented in the Dutch squad. Four players ply their trade with the Gunners domestically, including Vivianne Miedema who, at just 22 years of age has already racked up 58 goals in just 75 international caps.

With a record like that it's unsurprising that Miedema is just 5/6 (1.83) to add to her tally given she scored in all three warm-up games prior to this tournament.

Preview

Tom Sermanni has galvanised a squad that turned against former coach Andreas Heraf with several key players refusing to play for the Austrian. Since then though, they cruised through an admittedly weak qualification group with a perfect record and without conceding.

It's fair to say that New Zealand have had a mixed preparation for France 2019. Wins over England and Mexico will give them hope for the coming weeks while a 1-0 defeat to Wales last time out was far from ideal.

This encounter will prove an entirely different calibre of test for Sermanni's side, but their warm-up results suggest they can compete at this level in patches.

Predictions

Netherlands should have more than enough to secure maximum points from this encounter, however the favourites may not have things all their own way in Le Havre.

A Dutch win containing three or more goals is 17/20 (1.85) with William Hill and offers solid value.

This allows for either New Zealand getting a goal on the board and ultimately coming up short or another big win for Sarina Wiegman's free-scoring side.
