Nakumatt coach Melis Medo remains optimistic that they will survive relegation

Nakumatt coach Melis Medo is confident that his team will play in the top league next season.

The Shoppers will take on Vihiga United in their final league match of the season on Sunday, knowing that a win will do them good in the relegation battle.

Nakumatt are battling with Posta Rangers to avoid playing in the play-offs. Rangers will take on Kakamege Homeboyz in their final match.

The Shoppers have same number of points like Posta Rangers, who are sitting 16th on the log with 37 points, but Medo is not worried ahead of the final tie.

“Players will come through. We are facing some challenges but we will stay in the league,” affirmed a defiant Medo in an interview with Goal.

Wazito and Thika United have already been relegated and the final team to drop to the National Super League will be determined by the play-offs with the third finishers in the lower tier.
