MFM will welcome the return of combative right back Stanley Okorom who has missed the team’s last three matches for their mid week Nigeria Professional Football League tie against Wikki Tourists at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Okorom sustained a slight knock in their 3-1 away loss to El Kanemi Warriors and he has missed their last three matches to properly recover from the injury and team coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu said in an interview that the former Golden Eaglets star is now available for selection ahead of their tie with the Giant Elephants.
“We do not have any injury worries ahead of our game with Wikki Tourists. We have Stanley (Okorom) available again after missing our last three games due to injury. He got a slight knock in Maiduguri and our doctor advised we should allow him to rest,” Ilechukwu told Goal.
“He has shown enough flair and energy at training sessions and is now available for our match with Wikki Tourists.
“We are expecting his return to boost our performance.”
Ilechukwu disclosed that their emphasis is on the mid week tie with Wikki and that they have moved on from their minor road crash of Sunday in Owo, Ondo State.
“We are fully focused on the Wednesday tie and we have forgotten about the accident we had. “We are praying for a favourable result because we are not happy at all with our performance in the league this season,” he said.
