Manchester United will be looking to continue their resurgence when Burnley visit Old Trafford in Tuesday’s Premier League clash.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has overseen eight wins from eight in all competitions since replacing Jose Mourinho, closing the gap on the top four to three points and qualifying for the fifth round of the FA Cup in the process.

Latest odds

The former fan favourite is now priced at 2/9 (1.22) with bet365 to become the first manager in Premier League history to win each of his first seven matches in command.

Sean Dyche's Clarets have lost 12 and won none of their last 19 games at this ground, and are 10/1 (11.00) outsiders to pull off a shock victory here for the first time since 1962.

However, the last two meetings between this pair here have both resulted in draws, and there are odds of 11/2 (6.50) available on them cancelling each other out once again.

Team news

Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling could both be back in contention following injury, although Marouane Fellaini is still out with a calf strain.

Aaron Lennon and Jonathan Walters are long term absentees, while Phil Bardsley, Matt Lowton and Johann Berg Gudmundsson will all face late fitness tests.

Proactive Red Devils

Having looked frustratingly passive in the latter stages of the Mourinho reign, the Red Devils are now starting every game on the front foot under their interim boss.

Solskjaer’s men have scored 14 first-half goals in just eight games, going in ahead at the break in seven of those eight fixtures.

In contrast, Dyche’s team have opened the scoring in just six of their 23 league matches so far this season – fewer than any other side apart from Cardiff City.

All things considered, odds of 8/11 (1.73) offer solid value on United coming out on top after leading at half-time for their eighth game in nine.
