The Sai Masu Gida attacker says they are fired up to beat Kennedy Boboye's men to make their title winning intention known

Kano Pillars striker Junior Lokosa says their priority is to return to winning ways against Plateau United in their Nigeria Professional Football League tie on Wednesday.

Lokosa is the joint leading scorer in the topflight along Samad Kadiri of Lobi Stars on four goals each but the Sai Masu Gida attacker says he and his teammates are facing the Peace Boys with only a home win on their minds and that he won’t be obsessed about scoring at all costs.

“We got a good result in Maiduguri with the draw but a win would have helped us. We have put that result behind us and are optimistic of a home win against Plateau United on Wednesday,” Lokosa told Goal.

"They are a difficult side with what they did to us last season and with this still fresh in our minds, we are going for our own pound of flesh against them.

“I have four goals already but I won’t be setting any goal target for myself but will continue to work for the interest of the team. I will go out again on Wednesday if I am picked by the coach to contribute my quota to the team. I won’t put any pressure on myself because the team’s interest is foremost.

“The objective is to unseat Plateau United at the end of the season and we must make our intention known to them through this match. We have been given series of pep talk and we are aware of the importance of this match and others to follow."
