Our tipster thinks that value could lie in backing the England international to star for Pep Guardiola's men in the Community Shield on Sunday

Manchester City's Community Shield clash with Liverpool has the potential to be a thrilling tussle. Both of these teams are at their best when they are on the front foot and so there could be plenty of goals at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Sergio Aguero scored twice in this showpiece last term and is the 4/1 (5.0) favourite with 888Sport to score first, or 27/20 (2.35) to simply get on target against the Reds.

Gabriel Jesus is a 19/4 (5.75) chance to open the scoring on Sunday and it is 33/20 (2.65) that the Brazilian bags a goal this weekend. Both men could play a reduced role due to their participation at this summer's Copa America, though.

Raheem Sterling was in scintillating form for Pep Guardiola's men last season and could take a starring role against his former club. Indeed, 888Sport offer 7/4 (2.75) that Sterling scores against Liverpool for the first time in his career.

Phil Foden was heavily praised by Pep Guardiola in the build-up to this match at Wembley. The 19-year-old is available at 13/1 (14.0) with 888Sport to repay his manager's compliments with the first goal on Sunday, or 5/1 (6.0) to find the net at any time.

Mohamed Salah has played just 45 minutes for the Reds so far in pre-season but is Liverpool's favourite to score at 47/20 (3.35) or open the scoring at 13/2 (6.50).

Roberto Firmino scored against Lyon in midweek and the Brazilian striker is a 17/2 (9.50) chance with 888Sport to score first here. The same firm go 16/5 (4.20) that Firmino finds the net at Wembley.

Punters should note, though, that the participation of both men is in doubt, with Liverpool's Premier League opener uppermost in Jurgn Klopp's thoughts.

Should Salah and Firmino be rested, Divock Origi could lead the line for the Reds at Wembley. The Belgian international scored twice in the Champions League semi-final and Liverpool's second goal in the final, with 888Sport going 16/5 (4.20) that the Belgian is on target against City.

Raheem Sterling to score at any time at 7/4 (2.75) for a 1pt stake with 888Sport
