Liverpool backed to be the Premier League's next Invincibles

The Reds have started the season strongly and some punters are expecting them to maintain that form for the entire campaign

Having won all seven of their Premier League games this season, Liverpool have responded in the best possible way after missing out on the title by one point to Manchester City in their last campaign.

Jurgen Klopp's side have scored 18 goals and conceded just five in the league so far with the Reds clearly intent to taste domestic success.

As hopes rise at Anfield, some fans might be getting ahead of themselves with Sportsbet already receiving a number of bets on Liverpool to go the entire league season undefeated at odds of $26.

Arsenal are the only team to achieve such a feat in the Premier League era with Arsene Wenger's Invincibles avoiding a league loss throughout the 2003-04 campaign.

Though it's very early days to back the Reds for such a season, they did lose just one Premier League game across 2018-19 when they fell to City by the narrowest of margins.

Pep Guardiola's side do in fact remain title favourites this season ($1.67) despite already losing to Norwich in the league, with Liverpool providing some decent value should they hold on to top spot ($2.10).

While Liverpool have been backed for some serious success, on the other end of the spectrum, Newcastle's chances of relegation have been slashed to $1.83 following a recent 5-0 defeat to Leicester City.

With the Magpies struggling, coach Steve Bruce has quickly become the second most likely manager to be sacked next ($4.50) with Everton's Marco Silva still the favourite ($4.33).
