Moyes hints at no West Ham January signings


David Moyes has suggested he may keep his powder dry at West Ham in the January transfer window.

The Hammers boss is fearful of making a wrong move in January and may not spend until the summer.

"What I don't want to do, I don't want to spend and waste my money, take a wage up bringing a player in, spend big money and find that actually, I've got it wrong," he told the Evening Standard. "I'd rather I waited and got someone who might be available in the summer."

Mainz sign midfielder from Frankfurt


Mainz have signed midfielder Dominik Kohr from Frankfurt, the clubs announced.

The move will begin as an initial loan through July, with Kohr then making the move permanent on a deal that runs through 2024.

Kohr has previously played for Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg before joining Frankfurt in 2019.

D.C. United hire head coach


D.C. United have hired Hernan Losada as the club's new head coach.

The club announced on Monday that Losada will head to MLS from Belgian First Division side, Beerschot, where managed since 2019.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to join D.C. United and to write a new chapter of success with this storied club,” Losada said. “I believe in playing every match to win and in my opinion the best way to do this is to create as many scoring chances as possible every time we step onto the field, through high-energy, vertical attacking soccer. Blues target prolific Norwegian forward

Chelsea are plotting a club-record bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland - according to The Athletic.

The Norway international has a €75 million (£67m/$91m) release clause in his current contract, but it doesn't become active until 2022, meaning BVB will likely demand a much higher fee for a prized asset before sanctioning his departure this year.

However, Chelsea have identified Haaland as a priority target with Frank Lampard eager to add a top forward to his ranks to boost his side's chances of competing for Premier League and Champions League honours.

West Ham submit €30m offer for Sevilla frontman En-Nesyri


West Ham submitted a €30 million (£26m/$36m) offer for Sevilla frontman Youssef En-Nesyri at the weekend - according to The Athletic.

It is understood that the Spanish outfit rejected the opening bid, but talks between the two clubs over a potential January deal remain ongoing.

En-Nesyri has scored eight goals in 17 La Liga appearances for Sevilla this season.

Milan closing in on loan deal for Chelsea's Tomori


Milan are closing in on a deal that will see them sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori on loan until the end of the season with a purchase option of £25 million ($34m), Goal can confirm.

Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan had been the Rossoneri’s primary target, but the Frenchman, who is also a target of RB Leipzig, needs surgery and will be sidelined for around two months.
