Roma are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, reports Corriere dello Sport.

The Serie A side are looking for a replacement for Malcom, who appeared set to join earlier this week before abruptly signing with Barcelona instead. 

David Neres of Ajax is also on Roma's wish-list, while Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic has been deemed too expensive. 

Puel hoping to keep Maguire and Schmeichel

Claude Puel is confident sought-after World Cup stars Harry Maguire and Kasper Schmeichel will still be at Leicester City when the transfer window closes.

Offers are expected to fly in for the key pair following their widely-praised exploits in Russia.

Puel, though, insists they are simply too important to be sold this close to the Premier League season.

"I think we can keep both players. It is crucial for us," the Foxes boss told reporters after a 2-1 friendly loss to Udinese in Austria.

Everton agree €25m Digne fee with Barcelona

Everton and Barcelona have come to an agreement over a fee for France international left-back Lucas Digne, Goal can confirm.

The Toffees have agreed to sign the former Roma and Paris Saint-Germain star for a value between €22 million (£19.5m/$25.6m) and €25m (£22m/$29m) once bonuses are included.
