Monterrey forward Rogelio Funes Mori is on Club America's offseason wish list, according to Fox Deportes.
Las Aguilas are hoping to bring in a forward this winter, with Leon striker Mauro Boselli another transfer target. But with attacking difficulties and Oribe Peralta and/or Henry Martin leaving the club this window or the next, America has asked Rayados about Funes Mori's availability.
Cruz Azul with eyes on MLS
Cruz Azul is looking at a pair of South Americans in MLS to bolster its side with MedioTiempo reporting Seattle Sounders playmaker Nicolas Lodeiro is a target and Record saying Orlando City central midfielder Yoshimer Yotun is nearing a deal with the club.
Santos Laguna forward Jonathan Rodriguez reportedly is on his way to the capital to join La Maquina, which are looking to add more weapons after this tournament's runner-up finish.
Chivas prepping swap deal for Molina
Chivas is working on a deal to send forward Angel Zaldivar to Monterrey in exchange for Jesus Molina and Luis Madrigal, according to Multimedios .
Originally a central midfielder, Molina also has played defender in the past year. Chivas could use help at both spots, especially with midfielder Orbelin Pineda potentially leaving the club this winter.
Paraguayan side sets eyes on Vargas
Paraguayan champion Olimpia is looking to bring Eduardo Vargas from Tigres to the club, according to ABC Color .
Tigres already parted ways with Ismael Sosa this offseason and may be open to letting the Chilean look for a club where he'd have more minutes. The chance to play in the Copa Libertadores could provide additional incentive for the 29-year-old.
Monterrey gets Meza deal across finish line
Monterrey and Independiente have reached a deal to send midfielder Maxi Meza to Liga MX, according to MedioTiempo .
The deal for the Argentina national team midfielder stalled earlier this month with Rayados refusing to up their $16 million offer but eventually the Argentine club relented. He should be announced this week.
Ajax made offer for Lainez
Club America has received a formal offer from Diego Lainez from Ajax, according to Univision Deportes .
The Mexico City club said in the summer it would only listen to offers from European teams. Roma and Lyon were interested in the 18-year-old, but the new offer from the Dutch side could see Lainez in the Eredivisie as soon as January.
Fernandez to leave Necaxa for MLS
Matias Fernandez could be on his way to MLS with FC Cincinnati looking to make a move for the playmaker, according to Chile's La Estrella .
The report indicates Necaxa's firesale could continue, with one of the expansion team's owners getting in touch with Fernandez. Necaxa already has parted ways with Dieter Villalpando and reportedly will move Victor Davila on as well.
Pachuca looking for payday from Aguirre sale
Tigres continues to be interested in bringing in Pachuca's Erick Aguirre this winter but Pachuca is looking for an $18 million fee, according to MedioTiempo .
That price is too high for Tigres, though the sale of attacker Ismael Sosa - set to be introduced with Pachuca sooner rather than later - could help the deal come together. Tigres coach Tuca Ferretti was impressed with the versatile 21-year-old when he called him in to Mexico national team camp during his stint as interim manager.
Villarreal seeking Marcone
Villarreal has asked Cruz Azul directors about negotiating a deal for Ivan Marcone, according to ESPN Mexico .
The central midfiedler is perhaps the signing of the summer but could leave La Maquina after just a tournament. The club will work, however, to keep the 28-year-old until at least the summer.
Martino will be announced in January
A verbal agreement exists between Tata Martino and the FMF for the Argentine to take over as men's national team coach, but he won't be announced until January, according to Fox Deportes .
Once he has signed a contract, it will be a four-year deal. However, with Mexico putting its eyes on the 2026 World Cup and Martino hoping for time to work, the deal may include an option for a four-year extension.
Atleti one of Guzman's suitors
Atletico Madrid has taken an interest in Pachuca and Mexico midfielder Victor Guzman, according to Mundo Deportivo .
Pachuca president Jesus Martinez said last month that there is interest from a number of European teams, and in addition to the Spanish club, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and PSV look to be on that list.
Herrera could land at Juve
Juventus is considering a move for Porto midfielder Hector Herrera, according to A Bola .
The midfielder's contract is up at the end of the season, and he's also been linked to Inter and Roma as he looks for a deal that would earn him up to €300,000 per month.
