Lentjies still belongs to Maritzburg United, confirms Farook Kadodia

Chippa Mpengesi was quoted as saying he had acquired the services of Lentjies and Tlolane, but it appears the Chippa boss was too quick to go public

Chippa United  on Wednesday announced the signings of Kurt Lentjies and Puleng Tlolane from Maritzburg United and Polokwane City respectively.

However, according to the latest reports, the Port Elizabeth-based club has in all likelihood been duped.

This comes after Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia stated that Lentjies has not signed a contract with anyone and that he's still contracted to the cub until 2018.

“Kurt (Lentjies) has a contract with us until June 2018 and nobody has spoken to us about buying him,” Kadodia told Phakaaathi.

Kadodia refrained from accusing anyone of wrong doing on the matter.

“I don’t want to be caught in a public debate about these things. What I know and can confirm is that Lentijies is still our player,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Tlolane also distanced himself from reports that he has signed for the Chilli Boys.

“I didn’t sign a contract with any team, and I don’t have an agent,” Tlolane told SunSport.

“I don’t need one to represent me anywhere because I belong to Polokwane City. People just want to mess up my career and I don’t appreciate that at all,” Tlolane concluded.
