Leicester City's Rachid Ghezzal to miss Fulham clash

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has confirmed that Rachid Ghezzal will miss their league outing against Fulham.

The 26-year-old who last featured in a league game on November 10 [vs. Burnley] has missed his side’s last three games owing to a leg injury he suffered during a training session.

Ahead of their trip to the Craven Cottage, Puel disclosed that the summer signing has resumed training but won’t be rushed back to action against Fulham.

Meanwhile, the Algeria international will be monitored for a chance to return to action against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

“It was his first training session with the group this morning,” Puel was quoted as saying by Leicester Mercury.

“It was a good feeling and good freshness. It will be too early for Wednesday and we will see for Saturday.

“If he can train regularly between now and Saturday, we will see. Rachid is the same. He won’t be ready for Wednesday but maybe for Saturday.”

Ghezzal moved to England from Monaco in August and has scored a goal in nine Premier League appearances for the Foxes who are ninth in the table.
