Harambee Stars forward John Mark Makwatta has joined Kuwait Premier League side Al Nasr Sporting Club on a one-year deal worth Sh12 million.

Makwatta switched clubs after terminating his contract with Zambian Premier League side Buildcon FC. The former Ulinzi Stars striker moved to Kuwait with three months still remaining on his contract with Buildcon FC.

Al Nasr have reportedly coughed out Sh1 million to secure the services of the 23-year-old Kenyan striker. The deal, according to reports, will see Makwatta take home Sh1million a month for the next 12 months in the Gulf State.

Makwatta joined Buildcon in March 2017 in a two-year-deal after he topped the scores’ chart in the Kenyan Premier League the previous season.
