The Japanese coach says he may be leaving the Fire Club after their final group game in the Caf Confederation Cup

Aduana Stars coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi says he could leave the club after their last game in the Caf Confederation Cup against Raja Casablanca in Morocco on Wednesday.

According to the Japanese coach, who replaced Yussif Abubakar in July, he signed a short-term contract with the Ghana Premier League champions and the deal may not be extended.

"Per the agreement I signed with Aduana Stars, I will leave my post after the last match against Raja Casablanca in Morocco," Kenichi told Oyerepa FM.

"Our agreement was that I will take charge of the team only for the Caf Confederation Cup and nothing else. This was because the date for the start of Ghana Premier League's second round is still unclear [so there will be no duties for me].

"I don't want to comment further whether I will stay on or not but I'm talking per my contract currently. I don't know about the future. It may not be extended but if they will extend it or not, only time will tell," he added.

Kenichi has led the team through three games since taking over, winning their first-ever victory in the group stage of a Caf Confed Cup following a 2-1 win over Congolese side AS Vita Club.

However, he lost his last two games, with his side now sitting at the bottom of the log with four points after five games.

A victory in the final group match cannot even guarantee them a place in the next round.
