Jordan Ayew happy with goal upon injury return for Swansea in the Premier League

Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew is excited by his glorious comeback to action on Saturday after a month on the sidelines.

The Ghana international was out serving a three-match suspension for a straight red card received in last month's goalless draw with Huddersfield Town.

On his return, he showed just what the Jack Army, who scored only once in his absence, had missed as he netted a crucial second half equalizer to ensure a 1-1 draw with Everton in the Premier League.

“I was itching to get back because the three games plus the international break, it has been a month since I have played,” Jordan said, as reported by his club's official website.

“It is good to be back, but the most important thing is that we keep going forward and continue to get points.

“I will keep working hard. I never give up.

"I will fight to the end and we will continue to do our best for Swansea to stay in the league.”

Jordan has been Swansea's talisman this season, his exploits putting him top of the club's scorers' chart in the league this term.

Saturday's strike was his seventh goal, having made 31 appearances involving 28 starts.

He also has two goals each in the League Cup and the FA Cup.

The 26-year-old joined the Swans, who currently sit 17th on the league table, from Championship side Aston Villa in January last year.
