Harambee Stars striker Jesse Were is confident of good results when they face Ethiopia's Walya Antelopes next month in the 2019 Afcon Qualifiers.
Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia have the same number of points after losing and winning a match each. The Zesco United forward says recent wins against Ghana and Malawi have boosted the team's confidence ahead of their next assignment.
“The match against Ethiopia is definitely going to be a tight one but we are positive of a good outing. The wins against Ghana and Malawi proved a point and it is up to us to keep the fire burning. “I have not yet healed completely but it is not bad. When you play for the national team you want to give the best but sometimes things happen,” Were told Goal.
Were was on the starting line-up against the Flames but gave way to Sofapaka's Piston Mutamba.
