ISL 2018-19: Who are Delhi Dynamos' overseas signings

With the fifth edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) fast approaching, the 10 teams have been busy finalising their rosters. With less than a month to go for the new season to kick-off, we take a look at how the teams have shaped up with respect to their overseas signings.

Here, we take a look at the seven foreigners who will turn out for the national capital based Delhi Dynamos.

RENE MIHELIC

The Slovenian attacking midfielder is no stranger to the ISL having spent the 2017-18 season with Chennaiyin FC. The 30-year-old’s two goals and made four assists in 14 matches played a vital role in Chennaiyin’s march to the ISL title.

MARCOS TEBAR

The Spanish defensive midfielder is returning for his second stint with Delhi Dynamos after having made 12 appearances for the club in 2016. He signed for FC Pune City in 2017 and formed a vital cog in Ranko Popovic’s side which advanced to the playoffs.

ADRIA CARMONA

Having come up through the youth ranks of Barcelona and AC Milan, the winger will be making his maiden appearance in the ISL. The 26-year-old has had spells with Girona, Real Zaragoza and Espanyol B prior to his move to Delhi.

ANDRIJA KALUDEROVIC

The 31-year-old Serbian striker has had a fruitful stint with Red Star Belgrade in 2010-11 before plying his trade in the leagues of China and Australia amongst others. He has earned three caps for the Serbian national team over the course of his career and brings with an impressive goal-scoring pedigree and bags of experience.

GIANNI ZUIVERLOON

The versatile Dutch defender came up through the youth ranks of Feyenoord before spending three seasons in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion. The 31-year-old can play at either right-back or in the centre of the defence. He has been capped by Netherlands at the youth level and will be making his maiden appearance in the ISL.

FRANCISCO DORRONSORO

The Spanish goalkeeper came up through the youth ranks of Gimnastica and Real Zaragoza. The 33-year-old has spent the majority of his career plying his trade in the lower divisions of Spanish football and the ISL is his set to be his maiden stint abroad.

MARTI CRESPI

Crespi is another member of the big Spanish contingent currently at Delhi and has come up through the youth ranks of Poblense and Real Mallorca. After various stints in Spain including one at Racing Santander, the 31-year-old defender spent four seasons plying his trade in the Chinese League One before making his move to Delhi.
