FC Pune City failed to register a win on Thursday as they held Kerala Blasters to a 1-1 draw in the match 26 of Indian Super League (ISL) season five.

Marko Stankovic gave the home side the lead in the first half but Nikola Krcmarevic strike in 61st minutes restricted Pune from taking full points from the home game.

Speaking on the match, Pune’s interim coach Pradhyum Reddy said, “They are a good team, unbeaten in the season. But on the balance of the game, I can’t ask more of my boys from what we have worked on this week. Boys stuck to the game plan. We scored the first goal and lost the goal scorer shortly afterwards.

"So we had to make adjustments. Players who have come in have given 100 per cent. We got a penalty and in the second game in a row, we have missed a penalty in such a crucial juncture in the second half. That possibly again changed the direction of the game. Had the penalty gone in, there would have been a different complexion in the game.”

On asked if he was satisfied with the match, Reddy said, “We have got to take it positively. We have never beaten Kerala and as a matter of fact, we haven’t beaten any south Indian team in the history of the ISL. So, it was always going to be tough. KBFC are not an easy team to break down and obviously the form we were coming into.

"Stankovic will go for a scan Saturday morning and fingers crossed because at this stage we can’t afford to lose any more key players. We have lost Diego and if we lose Marko, we're gone.”
