After registering their second consecutive home win against Chennaiyin FC, Jamshedpur now host NorthEast United in an Indian Super League (ISL) 2018-19 clash on Saturday.
Jamshedpur FC are yet to be beaten at home this season as they have recorded two draws and two wins. Similarly NorthEast United are also yet to be beaten away from home.
Speaking ahead of the match against The Highlanders, Jamshedpur Cesar Ferrando said, “I think NorthEast United are a good team. They play very well. They won their last two matches. But our preparation will be the same as what we have been doing every game and I think we can beat them.”
The Men of Steel had met NorthEast in the first leg back in October. The match in Guwahati ended in a 1-1 draw. The home side had taken the lead via Bartholomew Ogbeche’s strike but Jamshedpur came back thanks to an equaliser from Farukh Choudhary.
When asked if that result will impact their performance at home, the former Atletico Madrid coach suggested, “Every match is different. We cannot compare this match with the previous match. The strategy varies from game to game. If we have to do well against them we have to play as a unit.”
Jamshedpur will be missing Raju Gaikwad due to an injury. Yumnam Raju has recovered from an injury but is not match fit.
