The Spaniard has left it up to Stephen Constantine to include Rahul Bheke in the Indian national squad...

Bengaluru FC indeed left it late on Friday night. Rahul Bheke first scored an own goal in the first half and then redeemed himself to earn yet another win for Bengaluru in the 2018-19 Indian Super League (ISL).

"I'm happy because we created so many chances. It was a question of inches which is why we could not convert. I'm not disappointed with the lack of goals," Bengaluru head coach Carles Cuadrat said after the 2-1 win over FC Pune City.

Playing at home, the Blues had to wait until the 88th minute to get the winner as they continued their unbeaten run with their seventh win in eight games. "The game against Jamshedpur gave us a lesson on how to handle the pressure in the last few minutes and now we are scoring. We have not dropped any points ever since and I think we the players have learnt from their mistake," he added.

With centre-back Albert Serran nursing an injury, right-back Bheke was paired up with Juanan and the former East Bengal man produced the goods yet again, scoring his second in three games.

"Today we had to change a bit as Albert Serran was not on the pitch. Bheke is an intelligent player and he showed that he could play well as a centre-back too. I'm very happy with how the defence is performing.

"We are very happy with Bheke and Khabra. Khabra played the ball that led to the winner. I'm happy with the entire squad. Everyone is working hard to get into the national team. Bheke is working hard but it's up to Stephen Constantine to decide who he wants to pick."

There was praise for midfield maestro Dimas Delgado as well, making a comeback from injury. "Dimas is a very important player. He is giving a lesson on when to slow the pace or increase the tempo."

The 2017-18 runners-up next travel to Guwahati to face the Highlanders and the Spaniard expressed, "NorthEast are having a very good season and it will be a tough game. It's a shame that we can't play Miku. But we will go with the right mentality and try to beat them. Given how they are playing, it should be a good match."
