Inter Allies complete Richmond Lamptey signing

Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies have announced the signing of midfielder Richmond Lamptey in a three-year deal from Wafa.

The 21-year-old joined the Accra-based club as a free agent after opting not to extend his five-year stay with Wafa.

Lamptey believes he made the right decision to join Allies despite several other offers on his table.

"I'm delighted with this opportunity. I believe I made the right decision not to extend my contract with Wafa," Lamptey said.

"I want to achieve something monumental in my career and I strongly believe that it will be with Inter Allies that everything will be possible," he added.

‪Vice president of Inter Allies Delali Eric Senaye lauded the qualities of Lamptey and insists he is a great addition to the club.

“This player is an important addition to the squad as we look forward to each player’s performances to the team this season,” he told the club's website.

‪Lamptey, who was part of the Black Stars B squad that participated in the 2018 Chan qualifiers, made 26 appearances for Wafa last season in the Ghana Premier League as they finished second behind winners Aduana Stars.

He scored one goal and assisted another.
