Ighalo outshines Moukandjo as Changchun Yatai defeat Beijing Renhe

Odion Ighalo continued in his rich vein of form as Changchun Yatai came from behind to hand Beijing Renhe a 3-1 defeat in Wednesday's Chinese Super League clash.

Cameroon international Benjamin Moukandjo gave his side an early lead with his fifth goal of the season at the Beijing Fengtai Stadium.

In the 17th minute, Dadi Zhou drew the visitors level before Ighalo, who had scored five goals in his previous six games, got in on the act eighth minute later to ensure his side went into the break with the lead.

Late in the game, Nizamdin Ependi was shown his marching orders after handling the ball in the area and the 29-year-old put the game beyond the reach of Luis Garcia's men after scoring from the penalty spot to complete his brace.

The Yatai skipper has now scored 14 goals in 18 league games to help his side place eighth in the log after collecting 24 points from 18 matches while Renhe are 12th with 21 points from the same number of games.

In their next league encounters, Ighalo will hope to continue his impressive form in front of goal when they play Guangzhou F&F with Moukandjo facing Beijing Guoan both on August 18.
