Hindustan FC have qualified for the final round of the 2nd division I-League after a 0-0 draw with Delhi United on Monday.
The match, which was supposed to be held on Sunday, was postponed after severe dust storms hit the capital city. Results in the other group games meant that Hindustan needed a draw to secure qualification and they ended up doing just that.
The Delhi-based outfit finished second in Group A with 20 points from 10 games, two points behind Real Kashmir. However, they made it to the final round as the best second-placed team.
It also meant that Thrissur-based FC Kerala, who finished second in Group B, have been knocked out as they have only 19 points.
Hindustan FC joins the three group winners Real Kashmir, Ozone FC and TRAU FC in the final round which will be held at Bengaluru between 24th and 30th May.
