I-League 2017: Humble Chencho Gyeltshen wary of Indian Arrows challenge

Minerva Punjab beat newly promoted NEROCA FC 2-1 in their second I-League match at the Guru Nanak Stadium on Friday. Bhutanese forward Chencho Gyeltshen was once again the catapult for a first-half comeback that sealed three points for the home side.

Speaking after the game, the 21-year-old attributed the team's success to their hard work on and off the field.

"We won the game because we played a team game. it is not about one game and it is not about me. Hardwork paid off today."

Up next for current table-toppers Minerva Punjab is an away match against Indian Arrows on Tuesday. The side which consists of U-19 players including the U-17 boys who were part of the recently concluded World Cup defeated Chennai City 3-0 in their opening game and Chencho believes they are not to be taken lightly.

"We will keep working hard. We are not under estimating the U-17 boys. They are a very good team. We will try to win three points."

The wide man, who played the game on the left wing, scored the equaliser five minutes after NEROCA broke the deadlock and then released Abhishek Ambedkar on the left who then assisted for the match-winning goal. But the youngster refused to rate his performance and instead sent out a rating for his team's performance on the day.

"I will rate my team 8.5 out of 10 today. I don't know how to rate myself," he signed off.
