Gor Mahia are in the market for a replacement of Meddie Kagere, who moved to Simba SC of Tanzania

Gor Mahia have reportedly ended their chase for Ugandan striker Erisa Ssekisambu.

The Kenyan champions have been engaged in talks with Ssekisambu but the deal will not materialize after both parties failed to reach an agreement.

“The deal is off. We have been in talks for the past couple of days but failed to agree over a number of issues,” Ssekisambu’s agent Ronnie Santos told Kawowo Sports.

A free agent Ssekisambu’s, whose contract with Viper SC expired after the conclusion of last season, has made it clear that he wants to play in a foreign league with KPL, the most competitive league in the region, being a top priority.

Ssekisambu has won the Uganda Cup's MVP twice and was also in the run fopr the UPL Best Player in the 2014/15 campaign.
