Gor Mahia defender Wellington Ochieng is delighted with Harambee Stars call-up.

The K’Ogalo defender is among the 25-man squad summoned by head coach Paul Put for the forthcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge.

The regional tournament will kick-off on December 3-17 in Nakuru, Kisumu and Kakamega Counties. But Ochieng, who lifted the Kenyan Premier League title with Gor Mahia last week, termed the call-up as a 'dream come true'.

“I'm delighted to be called up for national duty. A dream come true,” he said.

Ochieng has promised to play his heart out in the two-week championship. “Thank you for standing with me every step of the way so far. I'll give it my best shot."

Harambee Stars will open their campaign against Rwanda on December 3 in Kisumu.
