Asante Kotoko teenage goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad is looking to make the most of his limited opportunities at the club.
The 15-year-old has become a contender for the Porcupine Warriors' No.1 spot following impressive performances for Ghana at last year's Africa Under-17 Cup of Nations and the Fifa World Cup tournaments.
He was the Black Starlets' first choice shot-stopper at both events.
"I'm like a soldier - always ready for battle," Danlad told Kessben FM.
"I will not disappoint the coach [Steve Pollack] if he gives me the chance.
"Felix Annan and Ernest Sowah are my seniors and I'm learning from them.
"But whenever the coach chooses me to be in post, I will not let him and the supporters of Kotoko down.
"Playing for the national team and at tournaments like the African Youth Championship (U-17 Afcon) and World Cup has helped me a lot."
Danlad could be handed his first major Kotoko responsibility in the upcoming Ghalca G8 tournament, which kicks off on Saturday.
