According to reports, Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey and three other key players namely Kwame Kizito, Leonard Tawiah and Vincent Atinga have parted ways with the Accra-based club after declining to renew their contracts.

Former Ghana Premier League topscorer Kofi Owusu has terminated his contract with Ashanti Gold by mutual consent despite having a year left, the two parties have confirmed.


The 26-year-old joined the Obuasi-based club after a failed stint in Egypt with Al Aswan in 2016, but once again, he could not find his footing in C.K Akunnor's setup after scoring only two goals.

Ghana FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of defender Emmanuel Owusu in a three-year deal from second-tier side NEA Salamina.

The 20-year-old caught the eye of Kotoko coach Steve Polack when they defeated Salamina 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in August.
