Former Ghana Premier League topscorer Kofi Owusu has terminated his contract with Ashanti Gold by mutual consent despite having a year left, the two parties have confirmed.</p>

The 26-year-old joined the Obuasi-based club after a failed stint in Egypt with Al Aswan in 2016, but once again, he could not find his footing in C.K Akunnor's setup after scoring only two goals.<br>

<p>Ghana FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of defender Emmanuel Owusu in a three-year deal from second-tier side NEA Salamina.</p>

<p>The 20-year-old caught the eye of Kotoko coach Steve Polack when they defeated Salamina 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in August.</p>
