Ghana name squad for 2018 Fifa Women U-17 World Cup

Ghana's female U-17 coach Evans Adotey has named a 21-man squad for the 2018 Fifa U-17 Women's World Cup holding in Uruguay next month.
 
After spending several weeks in Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, the former Medeama coach dropped 15 players from the provisional squad but kept faith in Northern Ladies striker Mukarama Abdulai who scored 12 goals in the qualifiers, as well as Cynthia K. Findiib of Pearlpia Ladies' fame.
 
The squad is made up of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and four forwards. 
 
Ghana, who are making their sixth consecutive appearance at the tournament, have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Uruguay, New Zealand and debutants Finland. The tournament kicks off on November 13 to December 1.
 
Goal understands that the Black Maidens will travel to South Africa and Brazil to continue their fine tuning before they move to Uruguay.
