EA Sports released its first-look video at FIFA 21 in the summer, with the current-gen adaptation pushed back by the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, FIFA 21 was eventually released on October 9, 2020, a slight delay on the usual release on the final Friday of September.

When will it be released and available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X?

When will FIFA 21 be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X?

FIFA 21 was launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on Friday December 4, 2020 - just in time for the holidays.

The launch of the game on the next-generation consoles came roughly a month after the two devices became available worldwide and two months after its launch as a title for older consoles.

EA’s dual entitlement programme allows gamers who buy FIFA 21 on Xbox One or PS4 to claim a free upgrade for the equivalent console – so fans did not need to wait until the next-gen release to enjoy the newest instalment.
