"Those were the days when they played good music." How often did you hear that growing up?

When you hear this it's normally coming from your parents or grand parents.

If you hear it from a PSL player then it's more likely to come from a legend than a new kid on the block. PSL legend Daine Klate makes a similar point, and he is proud to have grown up with fantastic songs on the radio. Those were the times when musicians made us emotional with their voices and not their videos.

One of the greatest American singers Aretha Franklin passed away in Detroit, USA on August 16. She's famous for songs such as  "Respect", "Chain of Fools", "Think", "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", "Don't Play That Song (You Lied)", and "Spanish Harlem".

Klate was clearly a big fan and paid his respect on Twitter. On behalf of Goal we also pay our respect to the legend, Aretha Franklin who entertained and moved many South Africans with her touching music for decades.
