The defender has revealed his aspiration with the People’s Elephants ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Lobi Stars

Oke Ogagatewho wants to win the Nigeria Professional Football League title with Enyimba.

After a seven-month absence from football, the former Sunshine Stars man made his debut for Paul Aigbogun’s men in their 4-3 to Nasarawa United.

The result places the Caf Confederation Cup campaigners in ninth place with 31 points. However, he claims the club’s ambition is to be crowned kings of Nigerian football.

“For seven months, I had not played competitive football,” Ogagatewho to Enyimba media.

“My first game in Lafia was not so bad, but I knew it would be challenging because, for one, I was playing in a position I am not used to, and secondly, it was my first game. So it was really tough for me.

“It was an amazing game, very memorable. We just have to give all thanks to God [in spite of the result].

“But, as a team, our aim is to be crowned champions. We don’t want to simply partake.

“With hard work and determination, we believe it’s not over, up until the end of the season. We will keep fighting and working hard.”

To actualise this dream, Enyimba must defeat leaders Lobi Stars in Wednesday’s league game at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
