The Sai Masu Gida forward has charged the People Elephants to secure victory in Bamako to keep Nigeria’s dreams alive

Nwagua Nyima has tasked Enyimba to fight for maximum points when they lock horns with Djoliba in a Caf Confederation Cup encounter in Bamako on Sunday.

Usman Abdullah’s men will visit the Stade Mar 26 in the quest for a favourable result to revive their campaign, having crumbled to third with a 2-0 loss to Williamsville in Abidjan two weeks ago.

And the Sai Masu Gida forward has urged the Nigerian representative to go all out and secure the three points against the Malians in the bid to the country’s hopes alive.

“I believe they still have a bright chance to qualify from the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup,” Nyima told Goal.

“It is not easy getting to where they’re now but I think that they have what it takes to go beyond the group stage and even get to the final.

“Enyimba are our only team left on the continent and we must give them the necessary encouragement to go far. They have to put the loss to Williamsville behind them. If they get a win in Mali, they could maybe go top of the table.

“They must fight to win in Mali and need to go there and put on their very best for 90 minutes. It will not be easy because they’re playing away. They need to fight and get three points.”
