The Flying Antelopes first landed in Lagos on Friday morning before connecting a flight through Egypt Air in the evening where they are going to have a stopover in Cairo in the early hours of Saturday before boarding another plane from Cairo to Tunis. They will then proceed to Sousse.
Rangers sit atop Group B with four points from two matches and they are going back to Tunisia the same place they held CS Sfaxien to a 1-1 draw almost two weeks ago and they have left with most of the players that have made them very difficult to beat on the continent and in the Nigerian league.
Tope Olusesi, Nana Bonsu, Femi Thomas, Solomon Okpako, Michael Uchebo, Godwin Aguda, Bright Silas, Bobby Clement, Ugwu Uwadiegwu, Semiu Liadi, Ifeanyi George, Chiamaka Madu, Ajani Ibrahim, Kelvin Itoya among others made the trip to Tunisia.
A member of the team, Michael Uchebo said they are in high spirits and are hopeful of securing a decent result at least against Etoile du Sahel.
“We have left Enugu for Lagos and we are to depart for Tunisia later in the night,” Uchebo told Goal.
“We have done our best to prepare very well for this fixture and we are expecting a good result in Tunis. It is going to be a tough game because there are no easy games again but we promise to give a good account of ourselves.”
