AFC Leopards interim coach Dennis Kitambi is set to leave the twelve time league champions early next month.

The Tanzanian will be leaving for Bangladesh where he will join coach Stewart Hall, as well as take coaching courses. Kitambi says he leaves with a heavy heart but it is the only option, and a chance like that does not come regularly.

“My players are aware that I am leaving, the information has been passed to them already. Yes they are disappointed but at the same time they have understood it is for the best of my career. I leave with good memories of the club and to be honest I enjoyed my stay.

“I wish the team all the best this season and I hope it will be a successful one as initially planned,” Kitambi told Goal.

Ingwe are now searching for Kitambi replacement and have already been linked with a move for former Sofapaka coach Sam Ssimbwa.
