Al Ahli coach, Olaroiu Cosmin, asserted that the weather conditions affected the match proceedings and his team’s performance against Dibba Al Fujairah in the match between the two teams on Friday evening, despite getting a 0-2 away win.
The Romanian coach told the press after the Arabian Gulf League matchday 17 clash: “My players got used to the conditions as the match wore on, and we scored from a set-piece, and wasted lots of chances, but the most important thing is the win and the three points.”
The defending champions’ tactician concluded: “Diop was demoralized after missing the penalty, he’s a player with strong will, and ran a lot in the match, I’m satisfied with his performance and the fans’ presence despite the cold weather.”
