The Blaugrana last faced the Blues back in 2012 in a dramatic semi-final loss, and Ernesto Valverde's men will be hoping to avoid another surprise elimination at the hands of the Premier League champions.
Barcelona have practically a fully fit squad, with Thomas Vermaelen the only injury doubt. Philippe Coutinho is ineligible for the Champions League and Nelson Semedo is suspended.
For Chelsea, Tiemoue Bakayoko has been ruled out through injury, although Marcos Alonso should return.
Tight first leg at Stamford Bridge
While Barcelona are clear favourites for this tie, their away form in the Champions League has not been particularly inspiring. This season, they have drawn 0-0 at Olympiakos and Juventus and only scraped past Sporting Club 1-0 thanks to an own goal.
In fact, the Catalans have won just two of their last seven outings on the road in this competition, failing to score in four of those seven games - but did concede just one goal in the group stages.
While Chelsea have netted in five of their six matches in the tournament, we could be in for a low-scoring encounter in the first leg of this Champions League last 16 tie.
Tips and predictions
Under 2.5 goals is offered at 10/11 (1.91) and there is a strong argument to be made for backing less than three goals to be scored at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be desperate to keep a clean sheet, while Barca have not been as prolific in the final third as in recent seasons.
This selection has paid out in four of Barca's six games in the Champions League so far, as well as in Chelsea's last home European game against Atletico Madrid back in December.
