Yanga will now drop into the CAF Confederation Cup play off round

Yanga skipper Nadir Haroub “Cannavaro” has conceded that the failure to use their home ground well has led to their elimination from the CAF Champions League by Township Rollers.

The Jangwani Boys played a goalless draw in the second leg tie which was held in Botswana following their home 2-1 defeat on March 6.

Speaking after the game, Cannavaro said that the second leg was tough for both sides but the hosts will be happy with the results because it takes them into the group stage.

“We had our home game in the first leg but we did not use it to our advantage, the boys tried to win the match today but unfortunately it was not easy for them,” said Cannavaro.

Following their exit, Yanga now will drop into the CAF Confederation Cup and they will know their opponents on the draw which will be held on April 26.
