Caf Champions League Group A Preview: KCCA seek revenge against Esperance, Al Ahly look to complete double over Rollers

Match day four of the 2018 Caf Champions League will continue on Saturday 

Group A will resume their campaign with Esperance de Tunis traveling to the National Stadium in the Ugandan city of Kira where they are scheduled to take on Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC.  Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

The Blood and Gold came back to defeat KCCA 3-2 in an encounter which was played at the Stade Olympique de Rades in the Tunisian Harbour city of Radès almost two weeks ago. 

Esperance are currently sitting at the top of the Group A standings having accumulated seven points from two games, and they will maintain their lead with a victory in Uganda. 

The danger man for the two-time Champions League winners is Ance Badri, who has scored three goals in his last two matches in the group stage.

Esperance will face off with a wounded KCCA side, who let a 2-0 lead slip against the Blood and Gold. 

The defeat left the former Ugandan champions placed fourth on the group standings - having accumulated three points from three matches. They are a point behind second-placed Al Ahly. 

The Garbage Collectors, who are coached by Ugandan tactician Mike Mutebi, will be hoping to keep up with the top two teams with a victory over the North African giants.  

Jackson Nunda is a key player for the Garbage Collectors having opened the scoring against Esperance, and the midfielder will be looking to inspire his side to victory at home.

Zambian match referee Janny Sikazwe will officiate the game between KCCA and Esperance. 

Meanwhile, Rollers will be seeking vengeance when they welcome Al Ahly in the second Group A game which is schedule to take place at the National Stadium in the capital city of Botswana, Gaborone. Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT. 

The Blues succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Al Ahly in an encounter which was played at the Borg Al Arab Stadium in the Egyptian city of Alexandria over a week ago. 

The defeat left the reigning Botswana champions placed third on the Group A standings with three points from three games. They are point behind second-placed Al Ahly.

Rollers, who are looking to impress in their debut appearance in group stages, will move into the top two positions with victory over their much fancied opponents.

Lemponye Tshireletso, who missed the clash between Rollers and Al Ahly, will be available and the attacking midfielder will be keen to help his side win at home. 

The Blues will take on a Al Ahly side brimming with confidence having recorded their first victory in the group stage against Rollers. 

The victory took the reigning Egyptian champions to second place on the standings with five points from three matches. They are three points behind group leaders, Esperance. 

Record eight-time Champions League winners Al Ahly will move to the top of the group standings with a victory over Rollers if other results go their away. 

Morocco international Walid Azarou, who scored during the Red Devils' win over the Blues, is a key player for Al Ahly and he will be eager to play an important role in helping his team win. 

Kenyan match referee David Omweno will be in charge of the game between Rollers and Al Ahly.
