Bursaspor joins race to sign Benjamin Moukandjo

Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor have joined the growing list of clubs across Europe who are chasing FC Lorient’s Cameroon international attacker Benjamin Moukandjo.

Moukandjo is currently on the books of relegated Ligue 1 side Lorient and has a year left on his current deal with the club.

It is understood however that the Indomitable Lions captain has no intentions of staying at the club who will be competing in Ligue 2 next year, which has alerted a number of clubs including Fenerbahce, West Ham, and Crystal Palace.

Bursa.com reports that Bursaspor have become the latest side to show interest in the central African.

The 28-year-old versatile attacker impressed for Lorient despite their relegation, scoring 13 goals in 25 appearances.

Should Moukandjo join any of the above-mentioned clubs, he would play his football outside France for the first time in his career after spending the last nine seasons between the first and second tier divisions of the European country.

Moulkandjo is currently on international duty with the African champions at the Confederations Cup.
