With the French club having paid a new world record fee of €222m to Barcelona, their new star signing is 9/2 (5.50) to win the individual prize

It might be a while before we see another transfer worth almost £200 million.

That's the price that Paris Saint-Germain have paid for Neymar who will swap Barcelona's Camp Nou for the Parc des Princes and while it may have been conducted in controversial circumstances, the move has more than doubled the fee that Manchester United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba last summer.

Following the switch, dabblebet are going 9/2 (5.50) that the Brazil international wins the Ballon d'Or in 2018, or Evens (2.0) that he wins the individual award by 2020.

Back in 2015, Neymar finished third behind club-mate Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but that is the closest he has come to scooping the award. Kaka’s 2007 triumph was the last time that someone other than these two players didn’t come out on top.

A move to PSG, while clearly beneficial financially for the 25-year-old, may also allow him to become the centrepiece of a team that could well challenge for the Champions League, often a key factor when it comes to deciding who is awarded the prize.

dabblebet offer 10/1 (11.0) that the Ligue 1 club claim their first Champions League title, having regularly made the quarter finals in recent seasons. The question is, will Neymar turn PSG from knockout stage fodder into genuine contenders to the likes of 5/1 (6.0) co-favourites Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and his former club Barcelona?

As far as goal scoring goes, Europe's premier club competition is usually a battle between Messi and Ronaldo when it comes to the top scorer prize, but it's 12/1 (13.0) that the world's most expensive player is able to pick up that prize in the 2017-18 campaign.

While they are a little way back in the pack for the new season, it's 2/1 (3.0) with dabblebet that PSG are able to win the Champions League by 2020. That could certainly be a price of interest to those that believe the French club are likely to take the next step on the European stage.
