Betting: Manchester City 4/1 to go unbeaten in the Premier League ahead of Liverpool clash

Pep Guardiola's men are favourites to take three points from their trip to Anfield and the league leaders are 4/1 (5.0) to remain undefeated this term

Few doubt Manchester City will go on to lift the Premier League title this season after an incredible first half of the campaign. Pep Guardiola's men have been so dominant - dropping just four points from a possible 66 - that even their pre-season title rivals have started to admit defeat. For anyone wondering, dabblebet are just 1/100 (1.01) to win the division. They see it as a foregone conclusion at this point.

The question now though, is what else can the Premier League leaders achieve en route to their first top flight triumph since 2014? They're on course to break Chelsea's goal record but a defeat-free campaign would be another incredible achievement.

dabblebet are 4/1 (5.0) that Guardiola's side remain unbeaten throughout the top-flight campaign. Given their record of 20 wins and just two draws so far, that could be a solid option for those looking to back City in some form at this stage of the season, especially given that they are short priced favourites for every other competition they are competing in.

Liverpool will certainly provide a test for the visitors at Anfield on Sunday, but it's 21/10 (3.10) that the Citizens suffer their first domestic defeat. dabblebet are 13/10 (2.30) about an away win and 5/2 (3.50) on the draw and if they are favourites for this game against the third-placed Reds on their own turf, then it's unlikely any of the next 15 league matches will see them slated as underdogs either.

Given that Guardiola's side have won all five of their meetings with the other "big six" sides so far, they have very little to fear from their rivals and with a squad deeper than any of their rivals, preserving their unbeaten run throughout the last 16 matches of the Premier League season is certainly an achievable outcome at 4/1 (5.0).

In fact, City have already faced both second placed Manchester United and Chelsea away from home this season. Those trips to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge respectively could well have been the trickiest fixtures to negotiate on paper, albeit a missed Crystal Palace penalty in the 90th minute at Selhurst Park was a scare too.

Considering the ease with which Liverpool (5-0), Tottenham (4-1) and Arsenal (3-1) were swatted away at the Etihad Stadium, the visits of the current second and third placed sides are unlikely to worry the runaway leaders.

Obviously with a possible quadruple still on the cards for the blue half of Manchester, Guardiola may choose to rotate his side ahead of key Champions League or domestic cup fixtures. However, with the resources at his disposal, plus the possibility of adding even more firepower to his ranks this month, the 4/1 (5.0) could be an interesting bet over the course of the next few months.

Were the club to bring in Alexis Sanchez, as expected, then the case for going unbeaten would become even stronger, assuming Liverpool don't take three points from Sunday's clash at Anfield of course. With that in mind, now is the time to back the 4/1 (5.0) with dabblebet for punters who feel Manchester City are simply set to prove a cut above the rest this season.
