It was a successful couple of days for Premier League clubs in the Champions League last week with two wins and a draw.
Liverpool and Manchester City both secured big away victories – a 5-0 drubbing of Porto and a 4-0 thrashing of Basel, respectively – whilst Tottenham Hotspur came back from two goals down in Juventus to grab a precious draw.
Tuesday night sees the Blues welcome Barcelona to Stamford Bridge, renewing a rivalry that was almost a guaranteed part of Champions League seasons not so long ago.
Antonio Conte’s side appear to have found some form recently after a dreadful start to 2018 which saw them win just two out of 10 games in normal time.
However, 3-0 and 4-0 wins in their last two games have steadied the ship and are a tempting bet at 12/5 (3.40) to take a first leg lead back to the Camp Nou.
Chelsea have only ever lost at home to Barca once, back in 2006, and have won two of the last three matches between these sides in London.
The final English club in action in the first leg are Manchester United, who face a tricky but winnable test in Sevilla.
The Spanish outfit held Liverpool home and away in the group stages, including fighting back from 3-0 down at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán to claim a point, but the Red Devils have a less suspect defence than the Merseysiders.
United can be backed at 6/4 (2.50), a generous price considering they won two of their three away group matches, and will likely look to steal a goal on the counter attack as they hope to nullify the attacking threat Sevilla pose at home.
Backing both English clubs to put themselves in excellent positions ahead of the second legs is priced at 15/2 (8.50), and this dabblebet double is sure to be popular as all five Premier League clubs aim to make it into the Champions League quarter-finals.
