Fortuna Sittard returned to winning ways following a hard fought 3-2 win against De Graafchap at the Fortuna Sittard Stadium on Friday.
Emrah Bassan's brace plus Djibril Dianessy's strike ensured Sunday Oliseh's men saw off their visitors to avoid a third straight defeat in a row.
Dianessy netted the leveler in the 11th minute to cancel Piotr Parzyszek's opener for the visitors from the spot.
In the 29th minute, Bassan gave the home team a 2-1 lead almost after Nathaniel Will was sent off, which saw the visitors reduced to 10-man.
The Turkish man scored in the 69th minute to give his side's lead to 3-1 before Straalman pulled one back but his effort was not enough to deny the hosts a win.
The home victory keeps Sittard in 16th position on the Dutch second division log. Fortuna face Kelechi Nwakali's Maatricht on Monday.
