Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele have sent a strong message that they are not interested in selling their most prized asset to Naturena

As they were linked with Baroka FC's Talent Chawapiwa during the July/August transfer window , Kaizer Chiefs have now been told to scout their players as Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele will not sell their star player.

According to the club's chairman Khurishi Mphahlele, he said even if Amakhosi would table an offer, they will not entertain it because hey want to hold on to the Zimbabwe international.

“Chiefs has not contacted us yet about signing Chawapiwa,” Mphahlele told Isolezwe.

“We would not sell Chawapiwa to Chiefs if they made an offer, we can’t sell him now. Teams need to learn to go and scout players the same way we are doing it,” he explained.

Chawapiwa played a crucial role for Wedson Nyirenda's men when they recently hosted Giovanni Solinas' troops last month in the league and they shared the spoils.

Meanwhile, the move by Chiefs to send striker Emmanuel Letlotlo to Baroka was seen as an attempt to sweeten the deal, but the Premier Soccer League (PSL) side are determined not to relent.

On the other hand, the former Platinum FC star was also linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns as coach Pitso Mosimane was set to bolster his left wing options, but the reigning PSL champions decided to bring in Lyle Lakay from Cape Town City, who has settled in well at Chloorkop.

Chawapiwa has featured in five PSL matches for the Limpopo side, but is yet to find the back of the net so far. Baroka will meet Chippa United on Saturday in the league.
