The meeting was held on 3 May 2017 by the Disciplinary Board (DB) of FAM and their deliberation will see players from T-Team, Penang, Sabah, Terengganu and UiTM FC sitting out various matches.

  • T-Team's Fakhrurazi Musa is suspended for 3 matches for uttering obscenities towards match officials during the Super League match against Perak on 8 April. He will miss the matches against Kedah (24 May), Selangor (1 July) and Kelantan (11 July). Fakhrurazi is also fined RM3,000 for his troubles.
  • Penang's Mafry Balang is suspended for 3 matches for his straight red card received in the match against Felda United on 9 April. He will miss the matches against Felda (7 May) and Kelantan (24 May), having already sat out of the match against Kelantan on 15 April. Mafry is also fined RM3,000 for his misdemeanor.
  • Sabah's Dendy Low is suspended for 3 matches for his straight red card obtained in the match against Terengganu on 7 April. He will miss the matches against Terengganu (5 May) and Kuantan FA (24 May), having already sat out of the match against Kuantan FA on 14 April. Dendy is also fined RM3,000.
  • President Cup players, UiTM's Zulkiffli Zakaria and Terengganu Fakrul Wahib are suspended for 3 matches after their respective red cards in the match between the two teams on 13 April.

The DB also handed out fines to two teams who participated in the 2016 FAM League competition for arrears incurred in salary payments. Ipoh Football Association and DYS FC are both fined RM6,000 each for four respective cases of payments not made to their players.

This adds to increased scrutiny on all teams regarding payments or rather the lack of it, after announcement of points deduction was made to four teams in the Super League and Premier League for their respective struggles to comply with league regulations.
