Azam FC is all but set to announce Hans van Pluijm as their new head coach with Singida United looking for his successor, Goal can exclusively reveal.
Goal understand that, Pluijm has signed a pre-contract with Azam since March and the deal will be announced after the Dutchman guides Singida United in their FA Cup final against Mtibwa Sugar on June 2.
Azam were under Romanian boss Aristica Cioaba this season but they have endured a series of poor result that has led his job to be under pressure.
Pluijm who has a lot of experience with African football has also experience with Tanzanian soccer where he managed Yanga for the two different spells from 2013 to 2016 before he joined Singida United in 2017.
During his tenure at Yanga, Pluijm won two premier league titles, one FA Cup and successfuly helped the club reach the group stage of CAF Confederation Cup in 2016.
Azam see Pluijm as the right man to lift them from the darkness after they passed two seasons without a trophy.
