Aset Kayamas and Wonda revealed as Astro's World Cup broadcast sponsors

Astro revealed in a glittering event held in Kuala Lumpur on Monday that Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd and Etika Sdn Bhd's Wonda Coffee are the official broadcast sponsor for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The pay TV will be borascasting all 64 matches of the World Cup live and in HD over multiple platforms, of which 37 are exclusive only to Astro. Apart from that 27 live matches will also be made available on Astro Arena, which are free for all Malaysians through NJOI Now and Astro GO apps.

"Since the inaugural tournament in 1930, FIFA WOrld Cup has evolved and made changes to not only suit the football climate but also enegage with its ever expanding members. This relates to us as we have, since our inception, been evolving, changing mindsets, innovating and designing homes that suit our customers." 

"Hence, for us at Aset Kayamas, this is a natural fit,"said Aset Kayamas' Excecutive Director Michael Chai.

Aset Kayamas were established in 2011 and are a company in the property development section while Etika are one of Malaysia's leading drink distributors with brands such as Pepsi, Revive Isotonic and Mountian Dew.

Wonda coffee would be introducing a limited eidtion coffee product in conjunction with the Word Cup and Etika is confident that it is the right fit considering that matches will be held late a night running over to the wee hours of the early morning.

"The new and limited WONDA coffee variants will surely delight both coffee enthusiasts and football fans this upcoming FIFA World Cup season. Wonda Coffee is glad to be working with Aset Kayamas and Astro in celebrating and wrapping up the biggest football event of the year," said Etika's Vice President of Marketing Santharuban T. Sundaram.

This is not WONDA's fist foray in aligning themselves with football broadcast as they are also the sponsors for Astro's coverage of the English Premier League.

There is a mega event being planned at Desa Sentral for the final match of the World Cup with special appearance expected from former Manchester United duo - Owen Hargreaves and Teddy Sherringham.
