Arsenal Tula sign Ghana's Kadri on loan

Ghana defender Kadri Mohammed has completed a season-long loan move from FK Austria Wien to Russian Premier League side Arsenal Tula, the two clubs have announced.

The 22-year-old joined Wien in 2016 after winning Ghana Premier League title with Ashanti Gold, but has since fallen down the pecking order in Thomas Letsch's squad.

"Ghanaian Kadri Mohammed has joined Arsenal Tula on loan and we wish him the best," a club's statement read.

"He is a very talented defender and we hope his addition will be a great success to us in the new season," the statement added.

Kadri also admitted his relief after what he termed as drama in the few weeks prior to his unveiling.

"I'm happy to be here finally because the past weeks have been like a drama. At a point, I was supposed to be at another place and things changed so I had to move again," he said.

"However, I'm excited with the opportunity. I believe things will work perfectly for me and I'm grateful with the reception and opportunity to be part of this amazing club," he added.

Kadri is the second Ghanaian to join Arsenal Tula in recent times after former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong.
